ETH Zurich, one of the world’s most prestigious universities, commissioned YMC to implement a new eZ Publish based website for the ETH library. This included multilingual navigation and layout, dynamic Metanavigation in the footer, as well as a self-service wizard for library users. YMC also provided general consulting and advice for the use and operation of eZ Publish.
SOS-Kinderdorf (SOS Children’s Villages) is one of the world’s largest non-profit organisations. The project involved developing an eZ Publish base platform for the entire website system. Over 50 individual websites, managed through a central, multi-client web interface. Thanks to YMC’s eZ Publish customisation, the specific customer requirements were met, minimising the editorial expenses considerably. SOS-Kinderdorf was able to generate a significant portion of its revenue through donations via its websites, making it one of the pioneers in online fundraising. The backend connects various external systems for online fundraising, including an SAP application, a payment gateway and a newsletter system. In addition to the consulting and technical development, YMC also provided a service level agreement for the ongoing support of the system.
SOS Children’s Village Foundation promotes and disseminates the ideological and practical implementation of the Children’s Village concept. YMC developed a web solution based on an eZ Publish multi-user CMS, tailored for the needs of the Foundation, enabling them to create new content pages quickly and independently.
Since 2006, YMC has been deeply involved in a wide variety of web projects for Swiss Television and Swiss Radio. YMC received from WWF Switzerland, a design and consulting mandate for an online portal. The main strategic objectives were to engage children in a playful manner (gamification), to familiarise them with the WWF and Panda Club brands, and motivate environmental action. The overall concept for a new online childrens’ portal also contained a differentiated technical assessment for the project implementation.
YMC developed the travel platform based on eZ Publish. The platform demonstrates how in a conservative industry such as the travel business, the customer experience can be expanded considerably with Internet technology. In addition to technical development and consulting, YMC provided a service level agreement.
